Make the Best Gluten Free Banana Bread

By Beatrice Peters

Banana bonanza (so much?!) one bowl gluten free bananas bread recipe may be among your favorite recipes from all time, but it isn’t always the most common. When you mention it on Facebook, however, there are usually dozens of you who say (sometimes in a kind of collective confession), you make this banana bread at least once a week!

Well, it’s time to get serious here and start to make this delicious recipe for a change. If you haven’t been making this kind of bread before, you might need a little help.

First, the most important thing: make sure your bread machine is set up to use whole grain flour. This is a better option than all-purpose flour, which is very cheap and very unhealthy.

If your bread machine doesn’t have the setting for whole grains, just set it to “low”standard.” When you’re done, put in a tablespoon of flax seed oil, one tablespoon of ground cinnamon, two tablespoons of ground nutmeg and one teaspoon of pure vanilla extract.

Bake at least twice for best results. For best results, let your bananas fully cook in the oven, then carefully remove them from the pan and allow them to cool. Then you can refrigerate them overnight.

You’ll want to be sure you follow the exact directions for gluten free banana bread. I find that this is a recipe that is difficult to do correctly on my own, so if you’re interested in trying it out, try to make it for a friend who has never made any bread before. Or better yet, go straight to my website and read up on some of the things you need to know. before you even begin baking.

There are several gluten free recipe sites on the web that can give you the details you need for a quick trip to the store. It will save you a lot of wasted time, gas and money. I highly recommend using a good one though, since they’ve done all the hard work for you, while still offering great customer service and tips to get you started.

Don’t forget, you can actually save money by making your banana bread at home. Even if you don’t plan on eating it right away, you might still save some money on it when you throw in a few bananas for fun! You can even bake a batch for a family reunion or surprise someone with one at the office for a treat!

Free trial cookies and cakes can also save you money. They often come in large quantity, and they’re often seasonal so they usually don’t cost much at all.

Of course you don’t have to spend a fortune for a loaf of gluten-free banana bread. There are several recipes available that are very similar to the homemade variety that can be found in your neighborhood grocery store.

I personally enjoy the homemade recipes better because the ingredients are so easy to use. My kids and husband absolutely love homemade banana bread. I think they’re much healthier than the ones you buy in the stores, and their taste buds aren’t damaged!

Gluten free recipes don’t have to be boring either. Try baking a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a fruit platter full of apples, pears and bananas. It sounds like something you would make as a treat for a baby shower.

You can easily find these recipes in books and online, and there are hundreds of recipes for gluten-free baking, too. With the great variety out there you’ll be sure to find one that you’ll absolutely love.
